Fourteen Years Ago, Asset Valuations
Fourteen years ago, my dad, Ant, and I started Asset Valuations Group with a tiny serviced office, a laptop, a handful of instructions and a stubborn belief that Australia deserved an independent valuation firm that took business, property and asset valuations equally seriously.
This Sunday, our logo runs out against the Springboks on Hunter’s boots.
I’ve sat with that for a while this week.
Not because of the logo, but because of what it took to get here. The early years of chasing every job, learning the hard way, building a team one person at a time, and slowly earning the trust of the accountants, lawyers, lenders and business owners who rely on our numbers when it matters most.
Hunter came into our world as more than a sponsorship. He’s part of our family, and the way he carries himself, on the field and off it, is exactly what we want AVG to stand for: prepare properly, back yourself and turn up for the people counting on you.
Hunter, smash it on Sunday. Thank you for wearing us into the biggest contests in the game.
To our team in Brisbane and across the country, this moment belongs to all of you. And to everyone who has trusted AVG with a valuation over the years, that logo on those boots is there because of you.
Onwards.
