Hunter Paisami (born 10 April 1998 in Savai’i, Samoa) is a professional rugby union centre who represents the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby Pacific and has earned caps for the Australian national team, the Wallabies. Of Samoan heritage, he grew up playing rugby in Auckland before his family moved to Melbourne as a teenager, where he progressed through club rugby and representative pathways.
Paisami’s breakout came with the Reds after joining ahead of the 2020 season. Known for his robust defence, physicality around the gainline and improving playmaking skills, he quickly became a key figure in Brisbane’s midfield. Later in 2020 he made his Wallabies debut against New Zealand, carving out an international career with over 30 Test appearances.
Off the field he’s admired for his resilience, overcoming early career setbacks to establish himself as a dynamic and influential midfielder in both Super Rugby and Test rugby.
